Students willing to pursue a Diploma Program should have successfully cleared their 10th Standard or equivalent exam with minimum of 50% Marks.
Students should have completed their 10+2 or equivalent exam with Maths, Physics, Chemistry and Biology (for select Biology based Engineering programs) as their major stream.
Students should have completed their Under Graduation program successfully for admissions to PG program.
**Students who wish to Opt for higher studies after their post-graduation can choose a doctoral, M.Phil or post-doctoral research in any stream of specialisation in engineering sciences study.

UG Few Universities and colleges also conduct an entrance exam and admit students based on the entrance exam marks alone. However JEE Main is conducted as India’s biggest examination which has acceptance in many Institutions. Other prominent private engineering examination for Engineering include SRMEEE (SRM), VITEE (VIT), AEEE (Amrita).
Direct admission for students who have completed their Under Graduation program successfully for admissions to PG program. However, GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering) organised by the IITs is the most prominent engineering entrance examination.
Advanced Instrumentation Engineering – An Insight
This stream of engineering is an integration of mechanical, electronic; control engineering and systems design engineering and computer engineering to achieve measurements and control. It is a multidisciplinary field involving material science, sensors & actuators, optics, signal processing, statistics, computation, communication. The applications for this field are mostly visible in Health, Agriculture, Aviation, Safety, Security, Space, Manufacturing and Processing Sectors. The partial list of subjects offered are Signal processing, Optics and Opto electronics, Computer aided design and simulation, Sensors and actuators, material and Nano science, Human physiology and bio instrumentation, Agro physics and technology, Circuit theory and electronics devices, Mechanisms manufacturing and measurements etc. Most of the professional and technical institutions offer a 4 year Bachelor degree program both in the Engineering and Technology stream. Upon graduation the student is offered a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E) or Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) degree. After completion of the regular 4 years of Bachelor studies a student can pursue Master’s in engineering or technology for an additional period of two years. Educational and research institutions both in the government and private sector provide specialized courses in research and development and also award Doctoral and Post-doctoral degrees.
